Café Primitivo
Luma Ranger is a vibrant Colombian Pink Bourbon produced by Café Primitivo at Primavera Farm in Circasia, Quindío, at 1,650 masl. Crafted through our Inoculated Red Honey process, this lot combines two distinct fermentation stages designed to preserve the natural elegance and clarity of Pink Bourbon while enhancing its floral character, sweetness, and vibrant acidity. The process begins with selective hand-picking of fully ripe Pink Bourbon cherries, followed by density sorting and manual quality selection. Whole cherries undergo an initial 24-hour anaerobic fermentation before being depulped. The coffee is then inoculated with a selected native microbial consortium and undergoes a second 24-hour fermentation with the mucilage intact. After a total of 48 hours of fermentation, the coffee is slowly dried under controlled sun and mechanical conditions. The result is a refined and expressive cup with notes of green apple, rose petals, and lime zest, complemented by vibrant citrus acidity, a silky body, and a long, sweet finish reminiscent of honey and vanilla cream.
